Bakery Al Vicolo was established in the heart of the historic centre as a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional shop. The narrow, deep space is enhanced by a sequence of lowered arches that transform the ceiling into a continuous scenic element.
The pink-toned terrazzo surfaces used for the floors and walls interact with neutral textured plaster and warm wooden inserts. The large central counter, monolithic and rounded, becomes the focal point of the space: a convivial island that invites visitors to stop and share.
The calibrated, indirect lighting highlights the vaulted ceiling and creates an intimate, welcoming, almost domestic atmosphere.
