Piroclasto was born from the desire to preserve the traces of the ancient dry stone walls.
The house stands on a terrace and is spread over two levels. It is configured as a compact volume that recalls the granules produced by the fragmentation of lava during volcanic activity, which lies on the terrace and cantilevers out from it. The same cladding is used both on the facade and on the roof : slabs of local lava stone with a bush-hammered finish.
